Oscar L. Faircloth, CPA
Oscar L. Faircloth, CPA, founding partner of Berg Faircloth and Company was born in 1938 and received his Bachelor of Commercial Science and Master of Commercial Science degrees from Benjamin Franklin University in 1960 and 1961. He passed the Uniform CPA Examination in 1963. Oscar has over 50 years experience in numerous areas of accounting including taxation, financial planning, business valuations as well as business consulting services.
Ricky L. Faircloth, CPA, PFS
Ricky L. Faircloth, CPA, PFS, born in 1958, received his BBA in Accounting from George Washington University in 1980. He passed the Uniform CPA Examination in 1984 and received his CPA designation from Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Rick was promoted to President of Berg Faircloth and Company in 1992. Rick obtained his Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation in 2005. In addition to his CPA and PFS designations, Rick holds the following securities/investment industry licenses:

Angela J. Wyrick, CPA, PFS
Angela J. Wyrick received her BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 1987. Angie began her professional career as an accountant with Berg Faircloth and Company in 1987. She passed the Uniform CPA Examination in 1994 and received her CPA designation from Virginia and Maryland. Angie was promoted to Vice-President of Berg Faircloth and Company in 2001 where she continues to advance her CPA profession.
Judith D. Roman, CPA, CGMA
Senior Small Business Manager
Judith D. Roman, CPA, has over 20 years of public accounting experience, including proprietorship of her own small accounting firm for six years. She also served as CFO for a $20-million-a-year, privately owned distribution company from 2000 to 2006, giving her a unique understanding of many of the problems facing most of businesses today, including human resources, insurances, inventories, internal controls, banking and loans, and management and ownership matters, such as buyouts and stock redemptions. Judy was first with Berg Faircloth from 1988 through 1999 and rejoined the firm in 2007, merging her clients with Berg Faircloth’s. She is a graduate of The College of William & Mary with a bachelor of Arts in English. She later studied accounting, obtaining her CPA certificate in 1991. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Kathleen Mihelic, CPA
Small Business Tax Manager
Kathleen Mihelic graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech in 1995. She began her career working in industry for an international shipping and transportation company and later for a construction engineering firm. Kathleen earned her CPA designation from the state of Virginia in 1999. She began working in public accounting in 2000 as an auditor for a local CPA firm. During her time as an auditor Kathleen developed expertise in the accounting and financial reporting requirements for various industries including government contractors, not-for-profits, and construction companies. She joined Berg Faircloth in 2012 working in the small business department performing accounting and tax services for business clients. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Matthew Oscar Faircloth, CPA
Matthew Oscar Faircloth graduated with a degree in Accounting and minor in Finance from the University of Virginia's College at Wise. While at college, Matt received the prestigious Napoleon Hill Achievement Award, which is awarded to the senior who most embodies Napoleon Hill’s principles for success. He has been working at Berg Faircloth since 2006. Matt works with individual clients preparing federal and state tax returns and business clients preparing partnership and corporate returns. Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Tiffany Liston, CPA
Tiffany Liston graduated with honors from the University of Delaware in 1991, receiving a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Management and Information Systems.
She began her career as an accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in international corporations. Tiffany earned her CPA designation from Alabama in 1994 and from Virginia in 1995. Her family’s affiliation with the military enabled her to become familiar with the unique tax situations the military face, while gaining experience preparing a large range of state tax returns.
In 2006, Tiffany and her family settled in Virginia. She has been with Berg Faircloth since January 2008, working with our individual clients.
Christi A. Heston, EA
Senior Tax Manager
Christi’s core area of studies was in accounting at Chicago Community College. She joined Berg Faircloth in 1998 and successfully passed the Internal Revenue Service examination for Enrolled Agents. In 1999 she was licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service nationally. Christi has over twenty years experience in accounting including the preparation of Internal Revenue Service tax court petitions, IRS settlement negotiations, various state tax negotiations, tax research for complex issues and general tax advice and planning.
John D. Burger, CPA
John Burger became a licensed CPA in Virginia in 1987, after completing a Master of Business Administration Degree at George Mason University. His experience as a CPA includes managerial accounting positions in lending, newspaper publishing, consulting and agriculture, as well as more than a decade in public accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and of the Virginia Society of CPAs.
Rose Schaffer, EA
Rose Schaffer joined Berg Faircloth & Company in 2012. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting at the management level. She prepares individual and corporate tax returns. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from George Mason University. Rose's experience in a variety of industries, working with small businesses and individuals, gives her a unique perspective into the issues faced by our clients.
Annie Faircloth joined Berg Faircloth & Company in 2009. She manages the firm and is in charge of accounts receivable. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from George Mason University.
Ann Hawkins graduated from the College of William & Mary with a B.A. in Government and a minor in French. She worked in early childhood education prior to joining Berg Faircloth in 2015.
